Count yourself lucky, I mean, we could've never seen any sparkle of hope! Now we've got one! Idc if it's minifigure junk, it is made if Legos and I'm happy about it! In fact, I'm excited!
I am over LEGO. I've gotten rid of everything but my mindstorms stuff. but LU was fun, and you guys were the main reason I still played it. I MIGHT play this new game, but if it is just "minifigure junk", I will stick to Minecraft. The article specifically stressed that it was going to be focused on accessibility. This means cheap prices, and sold in many retail stores. Those things normally mean lower quality, as opposed to the $10 monthly payment from LU for a high quality MMOG with enough servers to hold millions of players at a time. Also, the only other way it was described is that it was based on minifigures. It is most likely going to be closer to Backlot (anyone remember that game?) than LU. I doubt it will be worth playing.
I say we all sign up for Beta Testing to see if it is junk. Atleast we would all be together on a free version of the game. And who knows? Could possibly be better than LU. Lol I thought they dumbed down the Maelstrom storyline toward the end anyway. I liked it more when I was fighting corrupted minifigure zombies than corrupted Minifig "Shadows". And if the game stinks we go back to Plan B: Minecraft! :D. Hopefully this new game will last more than a year. LOL XD
It was dumbed down? More like removed. Toward the end they were working on Ninjago skeletons using maelstrom weapons. That's it. Their halloween world sounded more like fighting shadows though. Considering the way they described minifigures, and the way they say it is based on them, it's likely not going to be an adventure game like LU. Unless of course it said it was in the bottom of the article I never read. :P
Ikr? And I didn't mind the Ninjago Story much, It was a pretty cool concept how the Skeletons had a Maelstrom Immunity and it allowed them to harvest the maelstrom and make it into weapons that make minifigs weak lol. I was just upset how they completely revised the Maelstrom storyline because it was too "Scary". THAT was the reason the Maelstrom was so epic! lol, they could corrupt you as if they were zombies! And I hope the New game is as good as LU. At least sign up for Beta to check it out. If there even IS a Beta.
Lol I forgot about that part. The game was rated E 10. I really don't think a 10 year old can reasonably fear the Maelstrom. I will look at it when more info comes out, but like I said, I doubt I will play it. (unless you guys do) :P
Here is what Lego said when I asked them if this all is true and if they are taking advice right now You’re absolutely right, -----. It’s true that we have entered into a partnership with Funcom to develop an MMOG game. While we greatly appreciate your generous offer and desire to provide advice and participate in game testing, at the moment we are not ready to share any specific information about the game or take advice from consumers. We look forward to doing so in the future, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for future updates and more information!
LEGO DARES. lego dares. They close LU, the best game ever, and give us some minifigure junk? I am very angry.
