Finally, request granted

With some last minute encouragement from Smart, I decided it was time to open that FTB server people voted on. Smart and I tested it out and it works fine. Here's what you need to do to log in.

1. Download the FTB Launcher - Windows
                                                    - Mac
(Note: for Mac, you will need to know how to run a .jar file using Console or Terminal)

2. Once the launcher is running, select the Direwolf20 pack from the lefthand column.

3. Make sure you have selected recommended from the menu at the top of the launcher.
(Note: recommended is selected by default, no need to change it unless you have previously done so)

4. Click the Launch button in the bottom left corner of the launcher.

5. The launcher will download the necessary files and will start Minecraft.
(Note: if you get a "FML fatal error" at the launch of the game, start by trying a few more times. If the problem persists, search a solution on Internet. This can happen on both Windows and Mac)

6. Go to Multiplayer

 7. Add a new server to the list (or do direct connect)

8. Enter the same IP as the old server. (96.23.217.34:25565)

9. Enjoy the server!


If any extra problems, that have not been mentioned above, occur, let me know and I'll try to find a solution.

    I really don't see why we can't at least ask Flex to make the hack mine server. That is what we voted on after all. I can't believe you actually let one person coerce you against what everyone else says AGAIN. Sacha, I won't ask you to take down the FTB server, but more people wanted the hack mine, so let's please ask flex to do that.

      I changed for FTB, how is that a problem. I was the only one to make the difference in that vote. So FTB has won and it is a much easier thing to play in than H/M. Keep le FTB running.

      actually tekkit was in 2nd place behind hack/ mine and FTB was 3rd.

      whatever, keeping it up won't do any harm. Maybe somebody else can do the Hack Mine one. i might try to do it. maybe. For the FTB thing I can't open the direwolf20 pack. When I press launch it doesn't do anything. The other packs don't have this problem. Any ideas?

      It does absolutely nothing? Not even "launching" or "starting up" or "error" or "fatal error" or anything?
