I think that 50 blocks is not a big enouh no- build area.
ReplyDeleteBear
It's too late to change that one. The frontier between Hallowdin and your house proves it.
DeleteIt wouldn't apply to existing structures, just new builds.
DeleteBear
Maybe, but it would be difficult to remember what's old and what's new...
DeleteMaybe we can let him share some of that land. I see no reason not to as long as he respects our claims.
DeleteA rule under general: No Hacking.
ReplyDelete-Smart
We discussed it, but we came to the conclusion that it goes with "don't cheat".
DeleteWhere does it say don't cheat?
Delete-Smart
"4. The usage of the following client-side mods is considered cheating."
DeleteIf you're hacking, you probably have a client-side mod of some sort. Rule might need to be revised to something like "No hacked clients or the following mods"
Agreed.
DeleteThis is good, but we have no standards for punishment. Players will do anything even if the rules prohibit it, as long as they can get away unharmed. I have been more strict about this lately as the disrespect and constant breaking of the rules has gone too far. People will follow them more closely if they have something to fear for doing it. I know the official punishment from the old 1.2.5 map for illegal PVP is 2 days in jail, so maybe we can use this level of strictness as a reference. For some punishment, time off the server might not be enough. Like if somebody's armor breaks in illegal PVP, they can have repairs. But if the attacker's is broken, it will not be replaced. Maybe for greifing, blocks placed will not be returned. If blocks are removed, the greifer will replace as many as he is in possession of. The same applies for theft, but since the griefer loses nothing but server time, there may be something like an item tax as punishment. For example, if I steal 10 diamonds from Taco, I may have to give 12 back to compensate for the inconvenience. If the griefer cannot play the theft tax he must work it off (next 2 diamonds he earns go to Taco).
ReplyDeleteAlready brewing up a Google Docs punishment file. :P :D (At Sacha's request of course)
DeleteIt's a bit ironic, since I'm the only one who doesn't have access to server files :P
DeleteFor selling in Creative, I think that it should maybe be worth taking all money away. there is no knowing how much of it is legit, and if they are willing to cheat for money, keeping it after other punishment still allows them to get their way. Even taking a large percent out of their balance could still get them more money.
ReplyDeleteagreed.
DeleteBear
Yes. Agreed.
DeleteOk yay but I feel like I am giving out too many punishments... Plz tell me if I get tyrannical or anything :P
Deletebtw ppl wouldn't have known about the selling in creative other than by this :P Whatever
ppl would have figured it out anyway.
